What it brought
Force.com Flow first appeared in Winter '11, as a pilot in Enterprise and Unlimited Editions: flows were uploaded, activated and run from a custom link, tab or URL. Most of the release was Chatter, 62 of its 112 notes. Chatter Desktop put feeds in a free Windows and Mac client with popup notifications, a new Files tab collected Chatter and Salesforce CRM Content files up to 100 MB in one place, and users could follow tasks and events. Developers got OAuth 2.0 support with web server, user-agent and other authentication flows, and the Force.com Flex Framework reached general availability. Salesforce for Outlook gained configurable field mappings and sync direction.
