What it brought
Customization accounts for 30 of Summer '04's 75 notes. Every edition got a customizable Home tab with assignable page layouts, multi-select picklists of up to 150 values with new includes and excludes filter operators, and auto-number fields that assign a sequence as records are created. In Enterprise and Developer Editions, Studio added web tabs that frame an external URL or sforce control inside Salesforce, along with custom object security and deployment status. After the upgrade, two things needed checking: setup page URLs changed, breaking saved web links, and every profile except Read Only got full access to new custom objects.
