What it brought

When Web Services API 15.0 shipped in Spring '09, the 14.0 WSDL stopped being available, so integrations had to save or regenerate their WSDL. Mobile was the single largest area, including asset and case support, and Force.com Sites appeared as a Developer Edition preview for building public websites, backed by an org, that need no login. Visualforce and Apex both picked up enhancements. Salesforce CRM Content gained personal workspaces for private files still in progress, plus a pilot content delivery feature for sending files to leads and contacts. Two critical updates shipped, one for opportunity save behaviour and one for how workflow and roll-up summaries are evaluated.
