From Winter ’07 on, Salesforce has shipped three releases a year: Spring, Summer and Winter. Winter takes the next year’s name, so Winter ’27 came out in October 2026. Each release also raised the API version by one, which is why Winter ’27 is API 68.0.

The counts are the changes each release’s notes document, which says as much about how Salesforce writes its notes as about how much changed. Early releases described their changes in long chapters; recent ones list every small change on its own.
