What it brought

Salesforce opened the AppExchange in Winter '06: administrators could browse, test drive and install packaged apps, and publishers could bundle custom objects, tabs, reports and s-controls into a package, upload it and request review or certification. Territory Management shipped as a limited release, giving everyone in a territory access to its accounts regardless of ownership, with account assignment rules and forecasts derived from territories. Custom fiscal years, dependent picklists and Suggested Solutions came in the same release. Every organization was switched to a new user interface theme, with Salesforce Classic kept as a fallback, and older versions of Intellisync for salesforce.com stop working after this release.
