About

What is this?

Every Release Note shows Salesforce release notes as 33,141 points in space, one for each change documented across the 68 releases from Winter ’04 to Winter ’27.

This is an independent project and is not made by or affiliated with Salesforce.

We used Jev to read and categorize every release note by what it changes and what type of change it is. Each point’s place and colour come from those categories.

How to use it

Story walks through a set of interactive tours, one stop at a time. Scroll to move through, and pick any of the 12 tours from the menu at the top.

Explore lets you roam freely. The sentence at the top left says what’s lit, and every word in it is a menu you can change. Search with ⌘K/Ctrl K or /, drag to move around, and pinch or use the mouse wheel to zoom.

Click or tap any point to read its note and jump to the page of the PDF it came from. Pick a release on the timeline to open it, and press ? to see every control.

The address bar always links to the current view, so you can share exactly what you see.

Every release, tour and feature also has a page you can read, with its notes linked to their sources: start with the releases, the tours or the features.

Where the notes come from

Salesforce publishes the release notes for every release as a PDF. We split each one into its individual changes, so every point is one note, linked to the page it came from.

How the notes were categorized

Jev answered the same few questions about every note: which part of the platform it touches, like Automation or AI, what kind of change it is, who it’s for, and how big it is.

Product areas such as Sales Cloud or Slack come straight from Salesforce’s own headings.

Why recent releases look so tall

Salesforce’s notes have got smaller over time. Early releases described changes in long chapters, while recent ones list every small change on its own and cover far more products. So part of a recent release’s height is down to how Salesforce writes its notes.

What the layers add

In Explore you can also lay some general context over the notes: Salesforce’s acquisitions, product milestones, a few big moments from outside Salesforce like the iPhone and ChatGPT, and its revenue over the years. Each one links to its source.
