What followed the big announcements?
Salesforce attached products to successive waves of technology. Chatter and Salesforce1 left years of changes; IoT and Einstein Voice had much shorter runs here. The announcement dates sit beside the public-attention peaks and the notes that followed.
We follow selected product names in the notes. Counts cannot tell us how many customers adopted them.

The releases after the announcement
Einstein and IoT Cloud both arrived a month after their estimated hype peaks. Einstein appears in 826 notes; IoT Cloud in 13.
Peaks are estimates from Gartner or Google searches. Search readings exclude the later sampling change; separate product archives are outside this comparison.

New orgs start with Chatter off
23% of this release’s notes name Chatter. In Summer ’26, Salesforce made it off by default for new orgs and enabled Salesforce channels for Slack in supported editions. Existing orgs kept their settings; new orgs could still enable Chatter for Case Feed or Experience Cloud.

The mobile app outlasted the name
Salesforce dropped the “1” in Winter ’18. The mobile app appears in 26 of the 27 releases since. The original app carried org customizations onto phones, though users still needed the full site for unsupported actions. Its launch came after peak interest in mobile apps.

Einstein covered more than predictions
Salesforce’s first Einstein roundup put sales predictions alongside image recognition and community spam detection. The name appears in every release since. Jev, the archive’s classifier, places 56% of Einstein’s notes primarily in AI; it assigns the rest to other capabilities.

Short histories, and missing ones
Einstein Voice Assistant gets two beta notes in Spring ’20, then a retirement notice the next release. Salesforce retired IoT after a short run too. Blockchain and NFT Cloud have no matching entries. Salesforce published Web3 notes separately, beyond this archive.
Absence from this archive does not establish that a product failed or was retired.

Generative AI notes peak as Agentforce arrives
In the first matching note, a merchant asks Einstein to rewrite a product description, then accepts or rejects it. These generative AI names reach their largest note count in Winter ’25, at 2.5% of the release. Agentforce arrives in that release and outnumbers them in every release after it.

Agentforce · Winter ’25 to Winter ’27
Agentforce’s history is still short
Salesforce has begun documenting Agentforce alongside its earlier AI tools. Its row is still much shorter than Einstein’s or the mobile app’s.
A row lights when it appears in at least four of the last six releases.
